About the area

The best way to get to Xátiva is to fly into Valencia which takes just over two hours from the UK–then it’s around 45 minutes drive. The town of Xátiva which lies on the banks of the river Albaida is best known for its mediaeval castle and there are loads of other interesting historic sites to visit here as well. It’s home to around thirty thousand people, mainly Spanish, and there’s enough going on here in terms of shops bars and restaurants to keep anyone busy. It's one of Spain’s most fruitful agricultural areas with some stunning countryside.
