With a maximum budget of £110,000 and 5 impressive properties, can Jean deliver this family’s perfect property?

About the area

Tomar may be surrounded by the lush green forests and rolling mountains of the rural Central region–but it’s still just an hour from Lisbon airport, with flights from the UK taking less than three hours. It is famously one of Portugal’s most historic towns and you can’t walk the streets here without being struck by the stunning historic architecture. Tomar was originally created by the legendary Knights Templar, a famous group of Christian knights who were extremely rich and powerful in the 12th Century. They left their mark here in the form of dramatic churches, such as the stunning Convento de Cristo originally founded by the ancient order over nine hundred years ago. Legend has it that hidden somewhere in the town, is the greatest of all the Templar’s treasures, making this a place with many secrets. Perhaps that’s why so many people are keen to come here and discover them!
