About the area

Sarlat de Canéda more commonly known just as Sarlat is easy to reach with flights from a number of UK airports into Bergerac or Brive. It’s a beautifully historic place that gives tax discounts for preservation and holds the record for the highest density of historic monuments and preserved buildings in France, with sixty five in the town. All this has drawn in the Hollywood A listers, including Ridley Scott and Matt Damon, who were here recently to film ‘The Last Duel’. Outside of Sarlat is the stunning Dordogne countryside, filled with picture perfect villages, lush rolling hills and beautiful rivers and lakes.
