Malaga, Spain - A Place in the Sun

Inland Malaga, Danni Menzies

Danni Menzies is pulling out all the stops to find Vicky and Lee from Northamptonshire their perfect holiday home in Spain inland around Malaga. Together they share three children and a beloved dog, Poppy. They’ve decided now’s the right time to buy a holiday home in the hope that in the not-too-distant-future it will become a permanent move. They have a budget of £150,000, and Danni has 5 great properties, but will any of them be perfect?

About the area

The countryside of the province of Malaga is dominated by rolling green hills and mountains dotted with pretty whitewashed villages. All this can be reached by driving inland from Malaga airport, which has direct flights from the UK taking about 3 hours. The valleys here are filled with olive groves and fruit trees and one of Spain’s most famous walks, the Route of Oil and Mountains, passes through the region. The weather slightly varies to that of Malaga’s coastline, which is about an hour’s drive away. Here inland are hotter summers and more rainy winters. And the vibe is different too, with laid back villages enjoying a slower pace of life.
