Brothers Mark and Simon have sold up in the UK and are currently living in a caravan in Spain as they look for their dream permanent home in the sunshine. Mum Christine will join them too so the house needs to work for all the family. About the area

Almeria is both a costal and countryside province in south east Spain, with its own airport. Direct flights from the UK take around three hours. The Costa Almeria enjoys over 130 miles of stunning coastline with popular sandy beaches and tourist-friendly promenades. Further inland, where we’ll be searching today, the rolling countryside is dotted with traditional whitewashed towns and villages, all of which are rarely more than an hour’s drive from the coast-like Huercal Overaand Zurgena. Being one of the driest parts of Spain, inland Almeria also has a unique landscape and is home to the only desert in Europe.
