About the area

To get to El Campello in south eastern Spain you fly into Alicante–the flight time is around two and a half hours–and then it’s around half an hours drive. The seaside town of El Campello, which surprisingly is Spanish for countryside, was once a sleepy village home to fishermen and farmers, but now it’s a popular and bustling tourist destination, whose population of nearly 30 thousand more than triples in peak season-we’ll be basing our search here but also looking in other parts of the Costa Blanca. Apart from the sun sea and sand on offer, less than half an hour from the coast there’s the stunning countryside of Alicante–which is great for hikers–and bikers!
