About the area

To get to the Peloponnese, you can fly into either Kalamata or Athens airports – both less than four hours from the UK – then to get to the eastern part where we’re focusing our search it’s a couple of hours drive from either airport. The Peloponnese is a peninsula in the south of Greece and we’re going to be house hunting in the Argolis region on its eastern side. People have lived here since prehistoric times and the area’s steeped in history, but now it’s best known for its crystal clear seas which attract water sports lovers both above and below the surface–and away from the water it’s perfect for hikers and cyclists with tons of trails in the hills.
