Jasmine Harman travels to the town of Peyia in Western Cyprus to help Pauline and Chris find their perfect holiday home. Together for 42 years the couple now feel the time is right to finally achieve their dream of owning a bolthole abroad. Jasmine has five chances to find them what they’re looking for but, with a budget of £80,000, will she hit the mark?

About the area

Peyia is a 40 minute drive from the airport and is set on the steep slopes of the coastal hills with stunning views overlooking the sea. Coral Bay, the most famous beach in the region is just a few minutes away and has Blue Flag status as well as a wide range of water sports on offer. There’s a timeless quality to the coastline with lots of rocky coves and beautiful sandy beaches. The area has been inhabited by many civilisations over time, but it is the ancient Greeks that made the most impact, leaving behind many archaeological sites to explore.

Peyia is the largest village or the smallest town in the region, and has become a popular destination with international buyers, who are looking for holiday homes or to move here permanently, and it’s also attracted its fair share of celebrities such as actor Peter Krause and pop star Shakira, who have holiday homes here.
