About the area

Around a 2 and a half hour flight from the UK into Lisbon, and an hours drive, takes you to the Silver Coast in West Portugal – 120 miles of stunning beaches. The Silver Coast is named after the sun’s shimmering reflection on its sand, and its famous worldwide for its pristine clear, blue waters and sandy coves. The area is also world famous for surfing, and it hosts international competitions each year. But the Silver Coast isn’t just about the beaches. No sirree! The mountains here are worth a visit too, and they attract thousands of walkers and hikers each year who love the dramatic coastal views.
