About the area

Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary islands, with a year-round warm climate. Direct flights there from the UK take just over 4 hours. The island really is a sun seeker’s dream with about 40 miles of coastline, including 134 beaches. And we’ll be house hunting along the central eastern coast which is where some of the very best can be found. Many have been man made with soft golden sands imported from the Sahara and gentle lapping waters perfect for swimming. Backing the coast are gleaming promenades perfect for cycling or walking and there’s also a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants-lots serving up some tasty local cuisine. With over 4 million tourists visiting each year–and over a third of those visitors being British, Natalie and Matt are in good company for enjoying this delight of an island.
