About the area

You can reach the central Algarve from a number of UK airports into Faro, where arrivals from London, Dublin and Manchester top the charts and have doubled in the last twenty years. The Algarve and its central region needs little introduction and has got to be one of the best holiday destinations in Europe. With its stunning beaches of every shape, size and atmosphere, alongside large buzzing resort towns like Albufeira and the smaller and more exclusive Vilamoura and of course Vale do Lobo. Built in the nineteen sixties, it was one of the first resorts towns in Portugal. With an eighteen hole course at its heart and some great bars and restaurant, it’s a popular place of a golfing getaway.
