About the area

Around a two and a half hour flight from the UK into Faro and a short drive takes you to Tavira, on the Eastern Algarve in Portugal. Tavira is one of the Algarve’s most beautiful cities.  Its protected waterways, nature reserves and lagoons are bordered by over 6 miles of stunning sandy beaches – some of which are only accessible by boat and water taxi. The town of Tavira itself is a maze of cobbled streets and charming squares, filled with history, with over 30 churches, as well as castle ruins to explore. Sitting alongside many other quaint villages and towns along the coastline, such as Cabanas, holiday makers in this area get the perfect combination of beaches, sunshine and culture.
