Jean Johansson jets off to Inland Malaga in southern Spain to help Lucy, a fitness instructor from Ipswich. She first visited Malaga 6 years ago and fell in love with the city and the surrounding countryside. She’s been thinking about buying a property abroad since the age of 16 and now that she has the finances in place this is the perfect location. About the area

Malaga is a city and region within Spain’s Andalucia. Flights to its airport take around 3 hours from the UK. Tourism makes up 84% of Malaga’s economy, with visitors drawn to the 100 plus miles of sandy coastline, bustling city centre and charming inland towns and villages. Which is where our search focuses today. Dotted around mountainous landscape and several national parks are charming spots like Comares – one of the highest villages in Andalucia and visible for miles around. Bursting with history, pretty squares and cobbled streets they are popular destinations for those seeking an authentic slice of Spanish life.
