The couple have been together for 13 years, and after holidaying in the northwest of France many times and they want to move lock, stock and barrel taking along their 3 motorbikes, and 2 prize parrots! They have a budget of £50,000 and Jean has 5 great properties, but will they love any enough to make an offer?
About the area
Comfortably positioned between Normandy and the Loire Valley, Mayenne is easy to reach from the UK, as it’s within a couple of hours drive of a number of ferry options as well as airports. Named after the river that runs through it, with some beautifully historic towns and villages dotted along its banks, this is definitely one of those ‘time has stood still’ kind of places. Out in the countryside amongst the rolling hills and cider orchards there are some great rural properties, a lot of them are Longere, a traditional type of farmhouse found in this part of France, popular with UK buyers.
