Ben Hillman jets off to La Duquesa on the Costa del Sol to help Louise and her next door neighbour and best friend June. After June bought a holiday home in La Duquesa recently, Louise has decided to follow suit and buy there too! About the area

La Duquesa is a a port town on Spain’s Costa Del Sol, just over an hour’s drive south west from Malaga airport, to which there are loads of direct flights from the UK. Unlike many of its neighbouring holiday hotspots, La Duquesa remains fairly peaceful and traditional; allowing visitors to quietly meander around its whitewashed town or enjoy lazy strolls along its beaches and promenades. Its beautiful port is the most westerly in the Malaga province and has over 300 moorings. Built in the 1980s, it also provides somewhat of a hub with it being backed by hotels and loads of restaurants and cafes serving fresh local food in the sunshine.
