Laura Hamilton jets off to Greece to help Shelley and Adrian from Carlisle. Shelley absolutely loves the Greek Islands and has visited almost 30 of them. Since meeting Adrian four years ago, she’s shared her passion with him and they’ve visited many times together. Now the time is right for their very own holiday home on the island of Zante to share with the family. They have a budget of £75,000 for their new property, and Laura has 5 great options – but will any result in an offer?
About the area
Zante is the third largest of the Greek Islands and enjoys average summer temperatures of 30 degrees. Direct flights to its airport take around 4 hours from the UK. The island is said to be named after Zakynthos, the son of a legendary chief in Greek mythology and there are over 76 miles of glorious coastline here. The south of the island is the more developed part, with lots of lovely sandy beaches which are popular with tourists and plenty of bustling places to enjoy food and drink. The north is quieter and feels more residential, with traditional shops and restaurants serving local cuisine. Many of Zante’s beaches and coves are only accessible by boat, where visitors can jump into turquoise waters and explore all the natural delights the island has to offer.
