Gill and Chris met 16 years ago and have become such a strong team that they even run their own business together too. Now that they’re about to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary they want to mark the occasion, and they can’t wait to find their very own cave house in the peace and quiet of the countryside of inland Granada. Helped by Laura Hamilton, and with a maximum budget of £90,000, will their dream become a reality?
About the area
About a two and a half hour flight from the UK takes you to Granada in southern Spain. Perhaps best known for the busy city of Granada itself, the wider province is characterized by rural tranquillity – huge mountains, fascinating rock formations, as well as rivers running through lush green valleys and freshwater lakes. Traditional towns such as Baza and small picturesque villages like Galera are dotted throughout the landscape and are home to some of the most quirky properties anywhere in Spain – cave houses, built into the slopes of the mountains.
