Lee Juggurnauth is coming to the help Steve and Jackie from Oxfordshire. Married for nearly 20 years and recently retired, they want to find a holiday home they can enjoy with their family and friends in Guardamar del Segura in Southeast Spain. With their budget of £80,000, Lee has 5 great properties lined up but will any be good enough for them to put in an offer?
About the area
To get to Guardamar del Segura in south eastern Spain you fly into Alicante – the flight time is around two and a half hours from the UK – and then it’s just over half an hours drive. Guardamar – meaning Guardian of the sea – gets the rest of its name from the Segura river which meets the Mediterranean just north of the town right by its marina. It’s a very popular holiday destination due to its seven miles of golden sandy beaches and plenty to do away from the sea - but it does have more of a laid back atmosphere than some of the busier resorts in this part of the Costa Blanca – and it’s steeped in history – the town dates back to the 8th century BC.
