Kefalonia, Greece - A Place in the Sun

Kefalonia, Greece, Laura Hamilton

Laura Hamilton comes to the help of Trevor, who first came to Kefalonia 17 years ago and loved it so much he kept coming back! Now he’s in a position to buy his very own dream holiday home on the island and he’s brought along his stepdad and good pal John for plenty of advice. Trevor wants this place in the Kefalonian sun to be somewhere for his mum, step dad and the rest of the family to use. He has a budget of £175,000 and Laura has 5 great properties – but will any be perfect?

About the area

Kefalonia is one of the most popular Greek islands for holiday makers and with its own international airport it’s pretty easy to get to with regular and direct flights from the UK as well as options via Athens. Well known as the location of the film “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”, it’s loaded with stunningly traditional harbour towns and sleepy inland villages. Development of the tourist industry here has been sympathetic, with relatively few hotels, most people stay in private villas, meaning it doesn’t feel overcrowded even in the busy summer months.
