About the area

The Dordogne region is the third largest department in France and is found in the south west of the country. To get there you fly into Bergerac with flights from the UK taking under two hours.

The River Dordogne stretches for 300 miles, crossing the entire department and passes through charming historic villages dotted with medieval buildings. There are also lots of lakes punctuating the landscape, some even have man-made sandy beaches along the banks, perfect for family days out.
