About the area

At only 37 miles long and 12 wide, Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the Canary Islands, and can be flown to directly in just over four hours from the UK. It’s long been a popular tourist destination due to its year round sunshine, and today we’ll be house hunting around Playa Blanca, on the southern tip of the island.

Making the most of Lanzarote’s best climate, the coastline here stretches for over five miles with several beautiful sandy beaches, perfect for a spot of sunbathing or swimming. The seafront promenade runs along the coast with wonderful views, and from the marina you can catch ferries to the other neighbouring islands.
