St Lucia - A Place in the Sun

St Lucia Jean Johannson

Jean Johansson jets off to the Caribbean Island of St Lucia to help Georgina and Robert find the perfect holiday home. St Lucia has always been a special place for Georgina as both her parents were born there, and she still has family on the island. With five impressive properties up her sleeve Jean is determined to show them the best of what their £200,000 budget can get them; but will any of them result in an offer?

About the area

Saint Lucia is one of the more mountainous of the Caribbean Islands, with lush greenery covering almost 80% of its landscape. Direct flights from the UK take about 9 hours. The island enjoys hot, tropical weather all year long and these rays can be soaked up along its many paradise-like beaches, like Marigot Bay and Pigeon Island. The lapping turquoise waters are calm and perfect for swimming or water sports. Backing the coast are colourful beach bars and restaurants serving a unique blend of West African, European and Indian food. Jean is house hunting around the north of the island, which is a little busier and more developed. And where you can find luxury marinas which play host to the rich and famous. Pirates of the Caribbean was shot here and Matt Damon and Justin Bieber are known to be fans so visitors are in good company.
