Mark and Peter have been holidaying on Gran Canaria for decades and love it so much, they call it their ‘Dream Island’. Now to make their dream complete, they want to buy their own property near their favourite resort of Maspalomas, so they can enjoy getaways with their families and cockapoo, Rosie. About the area

It’s pretty easy to get to with a flight time of just over four hours to Gran Canaria Airport, from there nowhere on the island is much more than an hour away by car. 30 minutes to the South is Maspalomas, the islands biggest tourist town. Visitors are drawn to its buzzing atmosphere with lots of great restaurants and bars as well as its stunning nature reserve, one hundred acres of coastal sand dunes and beaches. And you’ve got the weather here to enjoy it with the average rainfall a tenth of what you’d expect in the UK and it’s never too hot or too cold with average temperatures staying between 13 and 30 degrees all year round.
