About the area

Around a 3 hour flight from the UK takes you Almeria airport and it’s just half an hours drive to Roquetas de Mar. One of the largest and most popular towns on the Costa Almeria, with a population of around 100,000, Roquetas De Mar is a bustling, urban town with 8 miles of beaches, lined with palm trees and promenades as well as restaurants and bars. In the centre of it all is the recently renovated castle, Castillo de Santa Ana, and the harbour. Once full of traditional fisherman, now they share it with private yachts, speed boats and companies offering water sports. But it’s not just about the sea here. Inland, is perfect for wildlife lovers, with nature reserves filled with birds nesting in the protected wetlands.
