About the area

Orihuela Costa is a coastal region situated on the south of the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. It sits close to the border with Murcia, near La Manga and the beautiful Mar Menor. It is an area popular with expats and as such the majority of the modern-style housing is to be found relatively close to the coast and in “urbanisations” of varying size with their own shops, bars and restaurants and community pools. There are also lots of golf courses throughout the region around which many of the urbanisations are located. There are many great beaches along the coast here. The nearest airport is Alicante which is around a 2 and a half hour flight from the UK.
