Los Alcazares, Costa Calida - A Place in the Sun

The town of Los Alcazares is along the Costa Calida in southeast Spain – its nearest airport is the newly opened Region de Murica, which can be flown to from the UK in under 3 hours. Los Alcazares is on the shores of the Mar Menor, Europe’s largest salt water lagoon which has 7 stunning beaches, linked together by a two and a half-mile promenade. Los Alcazares itself was a popular spa resort during Roman and Moorish times. Today it’s a thriving holiday spot, with bars and restaurants brimming with tourists in the peak season, all basking in the 25°C sunshine.
