Danni Menzies catches up with Jackie who bought a holiday apartment in Costa Blanca 7 years ago and loves it so much it’s now her permanent home. Sara Damergi re-visits Jules and Gaynor to see how they are getting on with their farmstead and many animals including alpacas in rural France. Thankfully it’s not all hard work and there is time for some culture and sampling a local sweet treat.

Jackie along with her daughter Judy were looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom property with some outside space on Spain’s Southern Costa Blanca. With a budget of £50,000 Danni Menzies showed them 5 properties, but it was the third property that came with a communal pool and a solarium that won Jackie over. She managed to buy the property for the incredible price of £45,500! Danni travels back to Almoradi to where she meets up with Jackie to have a look at what she has done with the apartment. Plus Danni meets Jackie’s new partner and they cook up a delicious barbeque on her solarium, and they head off on a sailing trip!

Jules and Gaynor were searching for a country house that came with a gite and enough land for their herd of alpacas in the countryside of Charente in Western France. They had a budget of £300,000 and Sara Damergi showed them 5 great options, but it was the third property that came with 11 acres of land that they finally chose, and their offer of £260,000 was accepted! Two years later Sara returns to meet up with with Jules and Gaynor and their new herd of alpacas, not to mention their sheep and chickens and donkeys! She checks out what changes the couple have made to their countryside pad, plus they invite Sara on a trip to their favourite town to have a look around the local artisan shops.
