Sara Damergi catches up with Felicity in Coimbre, Portugal after she and husband Richard bought a challenging project 10 years ago and there have been quite a few changes!

Janice and her best pal Jacqui were looking for a 2 bedroom property with some outside space ideally near the beach on the Costa Calida on the east coast of Spain. With a budget of £75,000 this was a permanent move for Janice and had been her dream for many years. Laura showed her five properties and Janice eventually decided that space in the property was more important to her than being near the beach. She finally bought a two bedroom villa for £60,000 around 20 minutes inland from the coast. 9 years later Laura heads back to the area to visit Janice who has made plenty of changes to the property and to her personal life! Plus, they head down to the beach and cool off with a cold drink!

9 years ago Felicity and Richard, a nurse and builder, were searching for a fixer-uppper that they could turn into their dream home around the region of Coimbra in central Portugal. Sara Damergi showed them five options for their budget of £40,000. They wanted a renovation project that had 2 bedroom potential, at least an acre of land and an outbuilding or two. Sara returns to Coimbra to meet up with Felicity who now lives full time in the property after completing the renovation. She checks out the all the hard work that has been done to transform the property, plus they head off to the city of Tomar to one of Portugal’s most popular festivals!
