Well the sun finally arrived in the UK last weekend but it only served to attract property hunters into the National Hall at Olympia for our 18th A Place in the Sun Live exhibition.
These days, those of you coming to our shows tend to be pretty serious about buying and that was certainly the impression we got from talking to many of you in out new-look "Hub" - or main stage - at the heart of the exhibition.
It was also lovely to have many property hunters from previous shows come back and see us - some from five or six years ago! - reporting how they've fared with their holiday homes and businesses. Even the World's Most Travelled Person (according to the Guinness Book of Records), Fred Finn took time to pop by!
Whilst all the country-specific pavilions and villages were bustling with visitors pretty much most of the time, Spain seems to remain a big favourite with our panel sessions on buying and living there as popular as ever.
"It was great to see Brits researching living abroad by visiting A Place in the Sun Live," says Paul Rodwell, the British Consul & Regional Operations Manager from Alicante who was on hand to pass on all sorts of tips about relocating and adjusting to life in Spain.
"We'll be coming back for the NEC show to give plenty more advice..."
The consensus amongst the Spanish experts on the seminar panels is that the Spanish market HAS bottomed out and that now really is the time to buy. Eighty per cent of you in the audience seemed to agree, and a brisk trade at the stand of one of the Spanish banks offered further proof.
