A Place in the Sun Live at Birmingham NEC
Our A Place in the Sun Live Exhibition returned to the NEC in Birmingham this weekend from the 20th – 22nd of September to help thousands of house hunters progress their dreams of owning a property abroad.
Over the course of three days, we welcomed 5,909 visitors through our doors, offering them the chance to connect with hundreds of international property experts. Each attendee had their own unique budget, preferred location and property type, but they all shared one common goal – the dream of finding their perfect place in the sun, and they came to turn that dream into reality!
Exhibitors from across the globe gathered to provide expert advice, including estate agents, lawyers, financial advisors, and currency specialists from countries like Spain, France, Portugal, Turkey, Cyprus, the USA, and beyond. Visitors also benefited from a full seminar schedule held across three stages - the Hub, the Seminar Theatre, and the French Village - offering valuable advice on what and how to buy, along with expert tips for navigating the property buying process.
Fans of the A Place in the Sun TV Show had the chance to meet presenters Jasmine Harman, Jean Johansson and Laura Hamilton! They took the stage to offer their insights on buying property abroad and shared behind-the-scenes stories from filming the show.
The production team held screen tests for potential future stars of A Place in the Sun. Who knows - some of this year’s attendees might be back next year to share their success stories on stage!
On Saturday, Jean was joined by her house hunters, Joanne and Darren Poole, who you may recognise from the TV Show after they found find their place in the sun on the Costa del Sol in 2022! The trio reunited on the main stage to share with the audience their experiences during filming, the details of the property they purchased in Torre del Mar and what unfolded after the cameras stopped rolling!
