Property for Sale in Cordoba
Hot Properties in Cordoba
One of the cultural capitals of Spain, Córdoba is a province of southern Spain in the north-central part of the autonomous community of Andalucía. It shares its name with the provincial capital, also called Córdoba.
Córdoba is a captivating city with a rich architectural and artistic heritage; the old part of the city is an UNESCO world heritage site. Once a bridge between the East and West in the Middle Ages, the city is now a typical bustling, noisy Andalucían city, with lots of atmosphere, fascinating sites, intriguing small streets and great nightlife. It’s this perfect blend of history and modernity that makes Córdoba one of Spain’s most popular tourist destinations.
Stroll along the narrow streets of the old quarter of Juderia, the medieval Jewish quarter, and discover an intriguing network of alleyways and squares, whitewashed courtyards, Moorish baths tucked into stunning patios and classic Andalucían whitewashed houses.
At the heart of the old quarter is the grand Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, which is thought to be one of the greatest mosques ever built.
There are many ways to see the city: by horse-drawn coach, hot-air balloon, bicycle, or simply take a walk and soak up the atmosphere. Attend classical music concerts, check out the museums or head over to the aquatic park. Popular sports include horse-riding and golf.
The rest of the province is well worth exploring, with its elegant white villages, olive groves and mountain scenery in places such as the Sierra de Hornachuelos and the Sierras de Cardeña and Montoro Nature Reserves.
The best way to get to Córdoba from the UK is by air. Flights from the UK to its capital city take around two and a half hours.
Property hotspots tend to be towns and villages outside of the capital city, such as Almedinilla, Iznajar and Puente-Genil. In these areas, you can pick up a quaint three bed town house from around €42, 000 while a three+ bedroom villa will set you back around €150,000.
