Fresh from his split with Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise is on the hunt for a New York bachelor pad, where he can spend more time with the couple's six-year-old daughter Suri.
As a couple, the Hollywood pair owned six properties including a sprawling estate in Beverly Hills, a Californian mansion, a New York penthouse, a lakefront mansion in Lake Como, a holiday home in Colorado and a house in Sussex close to the Church of Scientology's UK headquarters.
In total their property investment portfolio is worth over $80 million (£52 million). However, while they wait for the details of their divorce to be finalised, Holmes and Suri are living in a brand-new property in Manhattan's exclusive Chelsea area and Cruise has been staying in their Beverly Hills home.
Cruise is reportedly looking for a property which offers plenty of space inside and out as well as privacy, and wants a separate entrance, rather than a communal hallway, in order to be able to shut out the paparazzi and nosy neighbours. As a result he is looking at properties within gated communities, or those located a short way out of the city.
