Low cost airline bmibaby has announced an increased number of flights to Alicante, allowing holiday makers and overseas property owners easier access to the Brit favourite.
Summer 2012 will see the company increase flights to Alicante to four times a week and also introduce new Mediterranean routes including flights from East Midlands Airport to Catania, Sicily and from Belfast City Airport to Mahon, Menorca. Flights are on sale now at bmibaby.com with fares starting from £44.99 one way, including all taxes.
There will also be an increased number of flights going into Palma, Faro, Barcelona, Murcia and Malta which have proven to be the most popular destinations this summer for Brit travellers.
Julian Carr, managing director, bmibaby, said: “We are delighted to offer even more destinations for summer 2012 and customers can continue to enjoy our great bmibaby service and low fares."
The move should mean good news for those looking to rent holiday homes in these destinations. It seems that Brits have not lost their appetite for sun, sea and sangria and are still flocking overseas despite the recession.
"Our Mediterranean routes next spring and summer are already selling really well, as customers look ahead to next year's holiday,” added Carr.
