83% of women who work abroad believe that the experience will provide a boost to their careers according to a recent survey from Natwest International Personal Banking.
Over half of the 400 women interviewed said that the experience of living and working overseas had exceeded their expectations. And with another recent survey suggesting that 67% of Brits would like to invest in property abroad, this is positive news for those worried about overseas employment.
The ex pat interviewees found that being able to demonstrate to future employees increased language skills as well as an experience of a new culture, language and style of working made them stand out above other candidates when applying for jobs.
They also found that they had more confidence in starting their own businesses, as the experience of relocation had shown them what they were capable of and also allowed them the free time to develop hobbies for financial gain.
