A new French property scheme, located in one of the most sought after regions in the French Alps, is close to being completed.
Built by the French lakes and mountains by French property developer MGM, the new ski-in, ski-out homes in the Les Alpages de Chantel development in Les Arcs, is now in its third and final phase.
The new build French homes are proving extremely popular with holiday home purchasers, with all but six of the ski-in, ski-out apartments now sold. Those remaining properties are available at prices starting from around £275,000 for a two-bedroom property rising to £400,000 for a three-bedroom apartment.
Demand for the new MGM homes should be boosted by the news that British Airways City Flyer will operate new ski season flights from London City Airport to Chambery from December 18 until the end of March.
Richard Deans of MGM's UK sales office says: “For City workers the new service brings the ski slopes of the French Alps within easy reach for a weekend trip. It also makes inspection trips easy for those wanting to take a look at the property investment opportunities available in the region where the market growth we are seeing now will gain momentum as the start of the ski season gets closer. Property prices in the French Alps already are back at the pre-credit crunch levels of 2007 and current demand makes further rises inevitable.”
