Saint-Baslemont, a small village of about 78 inhabitants, is located about ten kilometres from Darney and the thermal towns of Vittel and Contrexéville. Surrounded by the Vosges countryside and lush forests, the village lies at an altitude of 430 m and offers stunning views over the countryside.
The village is crossed by the GR7 (Sentier de Grandes Randonnées n°7) which leads from the Vosges Mountains to the Pyrenees.
On the tourist route that passes through the valley of Bonneval, you can admire the Bonneval priory and chapel from the 18th century, the Celtic camp and the towers of Séchelles in the vicinity of Saint-Baslemont. The route also follows the old Roman road on the heights of the village. There are two beekeepers in the village who sell different types of honey and there is a goat farm with an assortment of local cheeses.
Near the castle is a family distillery where you can taste their local products, such as l'eau de vie (Mirabelle brandy), liqueurs, etc.
