*More information about the region: Guardamar del Segura is a pleasant coastal town with sandy beaches, a beautiful park "Park Reina Sofía", many shops, cozy restaurants and bars. On Wednesdays there is a very large market here where most of the locals do their daily shopping. The village owes its name to the river La Segura that flows through the center of the village. In the summer months there is a pleasant fair and here you will also find many market stalls that stay open until late in the evening.
The area is also known for its salt lakes and spas for rheumatism, asthma and sciatica. In the winter months the temperature can rise to well above 20 degrees, making it an excellent place to spend the winter! The accessibility of Guardamar is excellent, partly because the airports of Alicante and Murcia are very easily accessible. You can reach Alicante airport in about half an hour.
