It would be a pity to visit only the municipality in search of sun and sand. There are many places to see in Carboneras, such as the imposing viewpoint of the Mesa Roldán Lighthouse, the San Andrés castle or the wonderful landscapes around the town not to mention the stunning sandy beaches, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and much more. The closest airport is Almeria which is just a 30 minute drive away while Murcia and Alicante airports are 2 hours and 2 hours and 30 minutes away respectively.
