Stari Grad ferry port which lies on the outskirts of the town is home to Jadrolinija, which offers a comprehensive service to the mainland with up to 6 ferry crossings in the summer months. Nearby the town of Jelsa has a daily catamaran service also run by Jadrolinija to Split via the town of Bol on Brac Island. While in the other direction, the famous town of Hvar is only a 20-minute drive.
