Pam and Steve are about to say goodbye to their home in The Wirral and hello to the sunny beaches of the Costa Blanca. They are looking for a permanent home that will be big enough to allow for lots of relatives on both sides of the family to regularly visit. About the area

Around a three hour flight from the UK to Alicante takes you to the southern Costa Blanca in Spain. Stretching down from here to Murcia, with pretty villages, golf courses and modern urbanisations, the area has long been a favourite with British holiday makers, particularly the main beach resort of Torrevieja. The area is famous for its two large salt lakes – one blue, one pink - which are said to give health benefits, as well attracting aquatic birds year round and thousands of flamingos in spring.
