San Mango d'Aquino is located 480 meters above sea level in the province of Catanzaro and overlooking the valley of Savuto - which for a stretch marks the border with the province of Cosenza.

The current name can also be found inside the mother church, where the statue of St. Thomas Aquinas, protector of the town, is kept at the foot of the statue, which dates to 1717, you can still read the words: “Universitas Sancti Manghi”.
San Mango d'Aquino, hosts many events, festivals and fairs each year, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about the flavours and traditions of the village. The Patronal Feast of San Tommaso d'Aquino is celebrated on January 28, while the feast dedicated to San Francesco da Paola takes place 15 days after Easter.
On the coast the nearby town of Nocera Marina offers a variety of bars and restaurants along with other amenities, shops, supermarket, post office etc. A weekly local market offers a variety of merchandise and products typical of the local area.

The resort of Gizzeria, famous for its air currents which make it the ideal place for kite surfing is 15 minutes away. You can try the kite surfing schools and it hosts many Championship competitions.
