Benijofar is a lovely village with a charming church and village square. There is the casa de cultura for concerts and shows, a marked walking trail which includes the Rio Segura and an outdoor swimming pool at the municipal sports center which also has a pediment track, an indoor football pitch, two tennis courts, a basketball court, a football field with artificial grass, changing rooms and a cafe.

As well as two parks and the famous three crosses viewpoint, Benijofar has a good selection of tapas bars, cafes, bars and restaurants, pharmacy, vets etc., as does the neighbouring commercial center of Benimar.

Market day takes place near the church on a Tuesday in Benijofar and is a very colourful experience and on a Friday on the playground area, where you can buy your fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other locally made goods and produce for yourself, home, garden, pets and car.

The outer limits of the town connect to several breath-taking walking routes. Notably, both the Torrevieja Natural Park and the coast are both around 10 km away – estimated journey of approximately 30 minutes by bicycle.

Yachting and water sports are within a radius of 20 kilometres. There are several yacht clubs and marinas. In Torrevieja you will find three, while there is one in Guardamar del Segura and two in Santa Pola. Here you will find sailing schools, windsurfing, and diving schools, to mention just a few. Several places in the area you can rent boards for SUP (stand up paddle-boarding), and several beaches offer water activities like fly-boarding, banana boats, jet skis and more.

Hospitals and healthcare in Torrevieja are excellent with the modern public hospital with an outstanding reputation. Hospital Quiron is also located in Torrevieja.
There are several golf courses close by such as La Finca Golf Course in Algorfa and the La Marquesa Golf and Country Club in Ciudad Quesada, as well as the water park in nearby Rojales and Torrevieja, open in the summer months.

The areas of Rojales and Benijofar are surrounded by breathtaking walking and cycling routes. Meanwhile, other routes connect to the brilliant salt lakes of Laguna Salada de la Mata and Laguna Salada de Torrevieja, famous for their pink colours, these natural wonders are a definite must-visit for residents and holidaymakers alike.

Benijófar location and proximity to its neighbouring villages of Rojales, Formentera, Ciudad Quesada, Algorfa and the town of Los Montesinos mean that these areas’ leisure facilities and amenities are also easily accessible.
