The property is set back a good distance from the approach road. Automatic gates open to a large paved driveway that has planting and a petanque court to the left side and further tropical planting to the right. There is a large detached garage and a car port. In both towns there is a range of cafes bars, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. Óbidos is a world heritage site and in addition to its daily shops and restaurants inside the city walls, there is a year long diary of events that include a literary festival, a chocolate festival and of course the must not miss medieval festival held in July and August.
Beaches.... There are so many beautiful blue flag beaches throughout the region but generally the areas surrounding Areia Branca, Peniche and Baleal although having great sand and lovely sunbathing spots, they are better known for surfing and body boarding. Further north there is the unique coastal formation that makes up the lagoon and Foz do Arelho. Lovely beaches with up market eateries and plenty of cafes.
The area is not complete without mentioning the main commercial centre of Caldas da Rainha. Again there is a rich history surrounding this town with Queen Eleonor declaring it as a town with healing waters and so arranged for the building of a spa hospital. The town has grown and now has everything you would expect and more. Museums and galleries, cultural centre, Hospital, a range of good supermarkets. Both train & Bus stations, Banks and not least the daily fruit and veg market which is the Praça da Fruta
Within a 20 minute drive you have access to the area of Bom Successo where you will find 4 championship standard golf courses each offering a unique challenge for golfers.
