Villa de 2 chambres à vendre à Caltavuturo
Caltavuturo, Palerme, Sicile, Italie
Description complète
Detached, architecturally sophisticated country house in the hills of the Madonie with sea views
The property
This property is located between the villages of Scillato (highway access) and Caltavutura on a plot of 5600sqm sloping down towards the sea. From the provincial road - which incidentally is part of the famous Targa Florio - an electrically operated gate leads to the house via a well-kept, paved driveway. The highway exit is 4 km away, and it takes about 25-30 minutes by car to reach the coast, which is about 22 km away
The owner of the house is an artist. She and her husband had this house built in the mid-nineties by an obviously imaginative architect from Palermo. The whole building is architecturally very loosened up, different materials are used and a lot of light also reaches the basement through some light shafts.
Surroundings
The surroundings of this property are something for nature lovers. We are here in the middle of the Madonie at an altitude of approx. 430m. Ski resorts and beaches are only 30 minutes away! You don't often find that in Europe.
The nearest towns of Scillato and Caltavoturo are both 4 km away. You can go shopping there, but there are really big supermarkets about 20 km away on the coast.
When we were there for the inspection, six ponies were grazing on the property, which are kept there by a neighbor, also so that the grass is nice and short to avoid possible forest fires.
Possibilities
This house is crying out to be looked after again. The ideal buyer would be someone who is handy enough to carry out minor repairs and also has a few extra €1000 to replace the doors. I find the house very appealing and absolutely interesting in terms of price, as the owners spent more than twice as much on buying the plot and building it. In addition, there is certainly some room for negotiation.
