Land plot close to the beach
The island of Aegina is located in the Saronic Gulf, very close to the Attica Peninsula. Tradition derives the name from Aegina, the mother of Aeacus, who was born on and ruled the island. During ancient times Aegina was a rival to Athens, the great sea power of the era. Today Aegina is a popular vacation destination and many Athenians choose it for small excursions, due to its proximity, its beautiful nature and beaches and the various places of interest. The trip to the main port of Aegina lasts 1 hr and 15 min by boat or 35 min by flying dolphin from Piraeus port.
