El Pinar de Campoverde is a small village, mainly residential, and is set at the foot of the Sierra de Escalona mountain range. It has all amenities needed for everyday living. The main strip is in the traditional center of the village, which starts at the central Pilar de la Horadada road to the municipal sports fields at the Rio Seco.  The strip has an array of shops, bars, restaurants, a medical center, a dentist, and a veterinarian. There are also three supermarkets in the village, one coming into the village, one in the center and one at the far end in the so-called ‘Old Area’ where you locate an ATM. On Sunday, a street market is held in the center of the village.

This is the area where you will find Parque Central (Central Park).
The village is eight kilometers from Pilar de la Horadada. Lo Romero Golf is located midway between the two and 18 championship courses. 10km (13 minutes) by car via the CV-925 takes you to the lovely beaches of Torre de la Horadada.
Murcia airport is a 35-minute drive, and Alicante Airport is 50 minutes by car. 

Located in the South of the Costa Blanca is the beautiful Orihuela Costa. Stretching from Alicante to Pilar de la Horadada and on the boarders with Murcia.  The Orihuela Costa is made up of the coastal towns of  La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Dehesa de Campoamor, Villamartin, Los Dolses, La fuente, Pilar de Campoverde, Los Montesinos and San miguel de Salinas. South west of Torrevieja this area of the Costa Blanca is popular for its beaches and choice of fabulous Golf Courses. The coast is actually a suburb of Orihuela town and is around 20 kilometres away from the town.

Stretching for over 16km, the beautiful ‘Blue Flag’ beaches of Orihuela Costa are clean and safe and very popular in the summer for holidays, but during ‘out of season, they are still very much used. Boasting 320 days of sunshine a year, nothing is more relaxing and stress-free than wandering along one of these beautiful beaches in quieter times. Christmas Day is a lovely time with primary tourists on the beach wearing Father Christmas hats, cracking open their bottles of champagne and picnic boxes and enjoying the day on the beach. New Year’s Day is when the local Spanish residents prefer to have their stroll along the coast.  In slightly cooler weather, it’s lovely to walk along the beach to Torrevieja from the Orihuela Costa and then back again. The beautiful Orihuela Costa is a fabulous place for residents and holidaymakers alike. The World Health Organisation has deemed this area one of the healthiest places to live.

Travelling from the Orihuela Costa, move even further southwards to the lovely beaches of the Mar Menor, and Murcia for a mud bath great to rejuvenate and clean the skin or the wonderful city of Cartagena seeped in so much history you won’t know where to begin. Take in the beautiful ‘marbled streets’, the ‘Walled City’, the historic Roman Theatre, magnificent architecture, and much more. Cartagena is a port city with a naval base and boasts beautiful sandy beaches. Cala Cortina beach is only 4 kilometres from the city, for the peace and tranquillity of this area is well worth the visit.
