These beautiful traditional stone villas are located in the pretty village of Kalavasos which is only a 30 minute drive from both Limassol city centre and Larnaca City centre. The property is accessed from a very unassuming wooden gate it is when you open this gate you are greeted with the feeling of entering into another world.
The main property which would be the owners residence comprises of a good sized lounge with many original features, exposed stonework and a large picture window which looks out onto the main entrance covered area. Going through the archway to the rear of this rooms leads through to a second smaller living space which would be perfect for a snug. The village its self has numerous local amenities, bars and restaurants which are all a short walk up pretty stone streets from the property. Kalavasos is famous for its Neolithic settlement and archaeological site of Tenta. The area has retained its original name during its centuries of continual inhabitation; It is believed that Kalavasos comes from the Ancient Greek word ‘vassa’, meaning woody valley, indicative of its lush landscapes. The vegetation of the area includes pine trees, oleasters, prickly broom, rockrose and thyme, and it is a producer of citrus fruit, olives and carobs, amongst other crops – which are irrigated by a dam.
