Location
The island of Ikaria belongs to one of the 5 “Blue Zones” in the world, and especially during summer months the island is visited by a select group of visitors from around the globe.
The villa is nestled on a quiet road near the sea-sided village of Faros, in a distance of approx. 3 km someone can find shops, markets and beachfront tavernas. Its location offers the double-fold benefit of being 5 km away from the airport and 10 km from the port of Agios Kirikos. You can reach Ikaria both by ferry boats (4,5 hours) and direct flights (40 min.) from Athens.
Trivia: “Blue Zone” is a name given to five regions in the world where people routinely surpass average global life expectancies, mainly due to geography, culture, diet and lifestyle.
