Colognora is a beautifully preserved village 600 m above sea level and dominant in the "Val di Roggio". Many of the houses in the historic centre and date back to the 16th century. There is a beautiful museum exhibiting the history of the chestnut harvest upon which the population lived, at times in history.
The village was chosen by Spike Lee for his movie "Miracle of Sant'Anna" for the filming in 2007 and 2008.
