The whole region of Apokoronas is considered to be one of the greenest in Crete, characterized by picturesque small villages, restored traditional houses and beautiful villas. The city of Chania on the west is a 20-minute drive away while the city of Rethymno on the east is a 40-minute drive. It’s not by chance that most foreign residents in Western Crete choose this area for their vacation homes.
